About the exam

Qualification

  • A bachelor's degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm), or a master's degree or PharmD, from a recognised institution.
  • The clinical experience that the UAE Unified Healthcare Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR) set for your title.
  • A valid licence or registration in your home country (where it exists) and a recent Good Standing Certificate.
  • MOHAP's pharmacist licensing service asks for at least 2 years of experience and no gap in practice of more than 2 years.
  • UAE nationals, children of Emirati women, and holders of certain recognised licences or exams listed in the PQR may be exempt from the exam. An exemption does not cover DataFlow verification.

How to apply

MOHAP, UAE
  1. 1Sign in to the MOHAP website or app with UAE PASS and submit an evaluation request with your documents (MOHAP runs a separate evaluation service for pharmacists). Pay the evaluation fee.
  2. 2MOHAP reviews the request (about 5 working days) and sends a DataFlow payment link for Primary Source Verification (PSV).
  3. 3Use the eligibility number from MOHAP to book the exam with Prometric. The eligibility ID is valid for a short time, so book promptly.
  4. 4After passing you receive an evaluation certificate (valid for 5 years if your practice is not interrupted for more than 2 years). Your employer then applies for the licence.

ℹ️ Applications left inactive for more than 60 days are cancelled automatically.

Exam pattern & rules

  • Computer-based multiple-choice exam in English, delivered by Prometric.
  • Pass mark: 60% (minimum passing score stated on MOHAP's evaluation service page); results are shown as pass or fail. MOHAP does not publish the number of questions or the time. Third-party guides quote 100–150 questions in 2–3 hours; treat these as estimates.
  • Up to 3 attempts with MOHAP. After 3 failures, one final attempt may be allowed with a different authority (DHA or DOH). Each retake is paid again.

Exam fee

approximate
  • Pharmacist evaluation fee: shown in MOHAP's pharmacist evaluation service when you apply.
  • Licence application fee: AED 100. Licence to practise pharmacy: AED 1,000.
  • The Prometric exam fee (roughly USD 130–280 depending on the profession) and the DataFlow verification fee are paid separately.

Fees and rules change without notice. Always confirm the current requirements and fees on the official MOHAP website (mohap.gov.ae) before you apply or pay.

Frequently asked questions

About our mock tests
Is the MOHAP Pharmacist Exam mock test free?

Yes. The MOHAP Pharmacist Exam mock test is completely free. Create a free account with your email or Google, then press Start mock test on this page. No payment or card is needed, and you can take it as many times as you like.

How many questions are in the mock test, and how long does it take?

The mock test has 10 multiple-choice questions and a 15-minute timer, which gives you 1Β½ minutes per question.

Every correct answer scores 1 mark and there is no negative marking, so it is always worth answering. You can mark questions for review and jump between them with the question palette. The test submits itself when the timer reaches zero, and if the page reloads your answers are kept on that device.

How is the mock test different from the real MOHAP exam?

The real MOHAP exam is a computer-based multiple-choice exam in English at a Prometric centre. MOHAP's evaluation service gives a minimum pass mark of 60% (results are shown as pass or fail), but MOHAP does not publish the number of questions or the time. Third-party guides quote 100–150 questions in 2–3 hours, so treat these as estimates.

Our mock test is a shorter practice set of 10 questions in 15 minutes, so you can do it in one sitting and practise answering at a steady pace.

All questions are original. We write them from standard textbooks and the published exam content; they are not leaked or recalled exam questions. A short test cannot predict your real result, so use your score to find the areas you need to revise.

Which syllabus topics do the mock questions cover?

The questions follow the MOHAP Pharmacist Exam syllabus on this page, which has six sections:

  • Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Pharmacology and Therapeutics
  • Clinical Pharmacy and Patient Care
  • Pharmaceutical Calculations
  • Drug Information, Safety and Pharmacovigilance
  • Pharmacy Law, Ethics and Practice Management

MOHAP does not publish section weights for this exam, so the syllabus is a topic guide.

Every question is labelled with its syllabus section, so after each test your dashboard shows the sections you are strong in and the ones that need more work. Mock Test 1 includes questions from every section.

Can I see the correct answers and explanations, and retake the test?

Yes. As soon as you submit, you see your score and accuracy, then every question with the correct answer marked and a short explanation. You can filter the list to show only the questions you got wrong or left unanswered.

You can retake the test as often as you like. Your dashboard keeps your past scores so you can follow your progress, and if you set this as your target exam with your exam date, it shows a countdown and daily study goals.

For revision, there is also a free sample study note for this exam under Study Notes.
