8 sections Β· with approximate exam weighting

Approximate section weights from an earlier OMSB content outline for radiography (each may vary by about 3%). That outline still includes film processing, so also expect modern digital imaging. Check the latest version on omsb.gov.om.

Frequently asked questions

About our mock tests
Are the Oman Radiographer Licensing Examination mock tests free?

Three tests are free: Mock Test 1, the Radiographic technique and positioning – Module Test, and Full Syllabus Mock 1. Create a free account with your email or Google, then press Start on this page. No payment or card is needed, and you can take them as many times as you like.

The other 11 tests (the remaining module tests, Full Syllabus Mock 2, the Real Exam Pattern Mock and Mock Tests 2 and 3) are part of the paid test series for this exam, so they show a lock for now. When a package is available it is listed under Packages on this page, and the locked tests open as soon as you buy it.

How many questions are in the mock tests, and how long do they take?

There are 14 tests with 420 practice questions in all:

  • 8 module tests, one for each syllabus section: 20 questions in 25 minutes each
  • 2 full syllabus mocks: 50 questions in 75 minutes each, spread across the sections by their syllabus weight
  • 1 real exam pattern mock: 100 questions in 150 minutes, the same length as the real exam
  • 3 short mock tests: 20 questions in 25 minutes each

Every correct answer scores 1 mark and there is no negative marking, so it is always worth answering. You can mark questions for review and jump between them with the question palette. The test submits itself when the timer reaches zero, and if the page reloads your answers are kept on that device.

How is the mock test different from the real OMSB exam?

The real OMSB exam is a computer-based multiple-choice exam taken at a Prometric test centre. Third-party guides describe OMSB exams as about 100 questions in 150 minutes; OMSB does not publish a radiographer-specific figure, so check the current candidate booklet on omsb.gov.om.

The Real Exam Pattern Mock copies that length and timing and follows the syllabus weights, so it is the best way to practise your pace and stamina. The module tests let you revise one section at a time, and the full syllabus mocks mix all sections in a shorter sitting.

The official OMSB outline for radiography is older and still includes film processing, so the questions also cover modern digital imaging.

All questions are original. We write them from standard textbooks and the published exam content; they are not leaked or recalled exam questions. A mock test cannot predict your real result, so use your score to find the areas you need to revise.

Which syllabus topics do the mock questions cover?

The questions follow the Oman Radiographer Licensing Examination syllabus on this page, which has eight sections:

  • Radiographic technique and positioning
  • General and radiographic anatomy
  • Fluoroscopy and contrast media
  • Radiation physics and protection
  • Image recording and quality
  • X-ray equipment
  • Accident and emergency radiography
  • Other imaging modalities

Each section has its own 20-question module test. The full syllabus mocks and the Real Exam Pattern Mock share their questions between the sections by the percentages shown in the syllabus.

In the module tests, full syllabus mocks and Real Exam Pattern Mock, every question is labelled with its syllabus section, so after each test your dashboard shows your strong and weak sections and they line up with the syllabus tracker.

Can I see the correct answers and explanations, and retake the test?

Yes. As soon as you submit, you see your score and accuracy, then every question with the correct answer marked and a short explanation. You can filter the list to show only the questions you got wrong or left unanswered.

You can retake the test as often as you like. Your dashboard keeps your past scores so you can follow your progress, and if you set this as your target exam with your exam date, it shows a countdown and daily study goals.
